Trish on Holiday

Hi Room 16 and Michelle,
We are here in London now and staying with my aunt in her lovely house. We had a wonderful time at Disneyland meeting lots of characters and going on all sorts of scary rides. My favourite one was the White Water Rafting. We got VERY wet on it. I will show you the photos when we get home.
Today we are going to visit a castle called Hampton Court. Perhaps you could look at it in the computer lab on Tuesday. Henry VIII lived there. Then tonight we are going to see a play called War Horse which is based on a book by Michael Morpurgo. I am looking forward to it. The weather is beautiful and sunny, I hope you are not too cold.
I imagine you are having a great time with Michelle, how is the weaving?

Welcome Back!

Welcome back to Term 2. This term our Rich Task is called "Finders Keepers?" We will be going on a learning quest to find out what New Zealand's greatest treasure is. Do you know what a quest is? The Water Cycle

Look at our amazing collage of the water cycle! We have spent this term discovering just how precious our water is, and how we should treasure it. We have also found out about some other countries where water is much more scarce than it is here.

Thinking About Thinking

This week we will be thinking about and discussing the question
'What is learning?'. We will also be finding out which things help us to learn, and which things hinder our learning. For example, I learn best when I talk about new ideas with other people, sharing what I think, and listening to what they have to say. Sometimes I find it hard to think and understand when it is too noisy around me.
Leave a comment telling me what helps you to learn, and what stops you from learning.

This is our very first try at blogging. There are a few rules to think about while we are learning about what to do:

-never use anybody's else last name either!
